R"AWuAp <br /> Working to Restore Nature <br /> generally been toward the northeast Because the highest concentrations of dissolved <br /> hydrocarbons were detected in wells near the perimeter of the site and offsite, and down <br /> gradient from a known free product plume or other potential offsite sources, it is our <br /> opinion that dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons and volatile organic compounds in the <br /> groundwater and gasoline hydrocarbons in soil beneath the site, below 26 feet, have <br /> migrated onsite from an offsite source(s) <br /> Potential offsite sources for gasoline include the transmission shop west of the site, the <br /> Chevron station southwest of the site, and the Texaco station directly south of the site The <br /> transmission shop is a possible source because of the detection of gasoline hydrocarbons in <br /> soil at boring B-20 Free gasoline product has been detected in a well at the Texaco station <br /> Furthermore, we understand that underground storage tanks are present at the Texaco and <br /> Chevron stations and the Tune-up Masters shop adjacent to the ARCO station <br /> Results of the vapor extraction test indicated vapor extraction near the groundwater surface <br /> and within the sand zone appears feasible using wells VW-1 through VW-3 <br /> 8.0 LIMITATIONS <br /> This report was prepared in accordance with generally accepted standards of environmental <br /> geological practice in California at the time it was prepared. The investigations were <br /> conducted solely for the purpose of evaluating environmental conditions of the soil and <br /> 31009-10 12 <br />
