The location of the project site is shown on the Site Vicinity Map (Plate 0.
PREVIOUS WORK
RESNA observed the drilling of four soil borings at the site on June 24, 1991, during a
Preliminary Tank Replacement Assessment investigation. Ground water was encountered
at approximately 42-1/2 feet below grade, Residual hydrocarbons were analytically dctect;d
in soil samples collected from the borings; concentrations of benzene, to,-,iene, ethvibenzene,
and total xylene. isomers (BTEX) were below 1.0 parts per million (ppm). Laboratory
results are ;summarized in Table 1. Soil samples collected were logged according t, to the
Unified Soil Classification System (Plate 3). Logs of Borings are included as Plates 4
throu,.,h 9).
Further drilling at the site was pdstponed until, the site was added to the San Joaquin
County Public Health Serviccs-, Environmen'W ','Health Division (SJCPHS-EHD), pilot
r lettei of August 5, 1991,to the SJCPIIS-EHD.
program.
