To prevent the transfer of any contamination to vehicles, <br /> administrative area and other personnel, the following procedures <br /> must be followed. <br /> 1. Whenever possible, field equipment should be decontami- <br /> nated with a solution of Alconox or similar detergent <br /> and thoroughly rinsed with water prior to leaving the <br /> site. This must be done outside a safe radius of any <br /> work area. In situations where it is not possible to <br /> decontaminate field equipment on site, double-bag each <br /> piece of equipment, and transport back to home base for <br /> immediate decontamination in a designated area. <br /> 2. Disposable PPE (for example, Tyvak suits and inner <br /> latex gloves) must be bagged and disposed o; at the <br /> site. Non-disposable PPE (such as respirators and <br /> outer gloves) must be individually bagged, transported <br /> back to the home base, and properly decontaminated with <br /> a sc.-luticn of AlccnoX or similar detergent. <br /> 9 COPY <br />
