Field personnel must be watchful for evidence of changes <br /> in their general state of health and that of others on site. <br /> Symptoms include dizziness, tingling in hands or feet, skin <br /> irritations, skin discoloration, eye irritations, muscular <br /> soreness, fatigue, nervousness or irritability, intolerance to <br /> heat or cold, and/or loss of appetite. <br /> PROCEDURES FOR INJURY <br /> 1. Call for ambulance/medical assistance, if necessary. Notify <br /> the receiving hospital of the nature of physical injury or <br /> chemical overexposure. <br /> 2. Notify the Project Manager and Site Safety officer. If the <br /> injury is minor, proceed to administer first aid and notify <br /> the Site Safety officer. <br /> FIRST AID <br /> In all cases of chemical overexposure, follow standard <br /> procedures for poison management, first aid, and cardiopulmonary <br /> resuscitation. When transporting an injured person to a hospi- <br /> tal, bring this site safety plan to assist medical personnel with <br /> diagnosis and treatment.
