(GTI) , which summarizes information -needed to <br /> commenca a subsurface environmental investigation at the above <br /> referenced site (Figure 1) . This work plan is being submitted in <br /> response to a request from the San Joaquin Local Health District <br /> (SJLHD) and is authorized by Texazo Refining and Marketing Inc. <br /> In October 1988, GTI responded to a work request by Texaco <br /> Refining and Marketing Inc. to sample and analyze soil, following <br /> guidelines established by the California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board - Central Valley Region (CRWQCB-CVR) . This request <br /> resulted after two product dispensers were removed in preparation <br /> for iew construction and hydrocarbon impacted soil was noted <br /> (Pigure 2) . <br /> Samples were submitted to an analytical laboratory and analyzed <br /> for benzene, toluene, etbylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) , and total <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline and diesel by Modified <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Method 5030/8015/8020. <br /> Soil sampled beneath pump one was found to be less than Practical <br /> Quantitation Levels (<PQL) according to the EPA Federal Register, <br /> november 13, 1985, page 46906. Soil sampled beneath pump two was <br /> found to contain total BTEX of 900 parts per million (ppm) , TPH <br /> as gasoline of 5,700 ppm and TPH as diesel <PQL (Appendix 1) . <br /> Offices throWhout the VS..Canada and Varseas <br />
