N-3139-1-0
440 WEST CHARTER WAY, STOCKTON, CA
Mr Crow.
Enclosed for your review is the Quarterly Monitoring Report for the period January through
March 1996 for the above referenced site SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR) is
forwarding you a copy of this report on behalf of Mr Dave Heinrich of Texaco Refining and
Marketing, Inc Laboratory analytical results of air samples collected during this quarter indicate
that the soil vapor extraction and treatment system operated within the conditions specified in the
permit to operate.
The soil remediation system consists of four dual-completion vadose zone extraction wells, a
vacuum blower, and a thermal oxidizer The thermal oxidizer was re-activated on January 5,
1995. A SECOR technician visited the site bi-monthly to monitor the system Activities
performed during these visits included equipment inspection, influent and effluent soil vapor
concentration measurements, and control system adjustments A flame ionization detector was
used by the technician to measure the soil vapor concentrations when the soil remediation system
was operating
During this reporting period, the soil remediation system was down periodically due to equipment
failure. An hour meter was installed on March 27, 1996 to record cumulative running time of the
soil remediation system Influent and effluent soil vapor samples were collected each month in
Tedlar sample bags and submitted to BC Analytical in Glendale, California for laboratory analysis
The soil vapor analytical results and system efficiency results are enclosed with this report.
