IpC AM B R I A <br /> December 16,2005 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue,Third Floor <br /> Stockton,California 95202 <br /> Re Site Investigation and Groundwater Monitoring Report— <br /> Fourth Quarter 2005 <br /> Former Texaco Service Station/ARCO r <br /> 440 West Charter Way <br /> Stockton,California <br /> SAP Code 121258 <br /> Incident No 88870583 <br /> SJCEHD Site Code 1055 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Equilon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell)to document site investigation activities at the <br /> referenced site The purpose of thet investigation was to install two additional clusters of <br /> groundwater monitoring wells to further delineate gasoline constituents beneath the site <br /> Cambria followed the scope of work presented in our November 15,2004 work plan The work <br /> was performed to comply with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD)and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board(RWQCB)guidelines <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Descnphon The site is currently an ARCO gasoline station located on the southeast corner <br /> of West Charter Way and Lincoln Street in a mixed commercial and residential area of Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) The land surface in the vicinity of the subject site slopes gently towards <br /> the San Joaquin River, which is approximately 15 miles south of the site Texaco began <br /> retailing gasoline at the site in the 1960s In 1998,Texaco transferred service station operations <br /> to Equilon Enterprises LLC, who subsequently closed the site in December 1998 The layout of <br /> the former Texaco service station consisted of a service station building, a car wash, four fuel <br /> dispenser islands, and four underground storage tanks (USTs) United Gas placed new USTs in <br /> the same location as the former Texaco USTs and operated a service station at the site from 1999 <br /> until sometime in 2004 when the station brand switched to ARCO The site layout is shown on <br /> Cambna <br /> Figure 2 , <br /> Environmental <br /> Technology,inc <br /> 270 Perkins Street <br /> Sonoma CA 95475 <br /> Tel(707)935-4650 <br /> Fax(70T)935-6G49 <br />
