oDN <br /> CAMBRIA <br /> November 15, 2004 <br /> Ms Lon Duncan Q <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Investigation Report, Site Conceptual Model, and Work Plan <br /> Former Texaco Service Station/ARCO <br /> 440 West Charter Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 121258 <br /> Incident No 88870583 <br /> SJCEHD Site Code 1055 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> Cambna Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Equilon <br /> Enterprises LLC dba Shell Oil Products US (Shell)to document site investigation activities at the <br /> referenced site The purpose of the investigation was to log and sample two Cone Penetration <br /> Test (CPT) borings to assess the vertical and lateral extent of gasoline constituents beneath the <br /> subject site Cambria followed the scope of work presented in our February 26, 2004 work plan <br /> The work was performed to comply with San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> (SJCEHD) and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines <br /> This document also includes a site conceptual model (SCM) and workplan, as requested by <br /> SJCEHD <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description The site is currently an ARCO gasoline station located on the southeast comer <br /> of West Charter Way and Lincoln Street in a mixed commercial and residential area of Stockton, <br /> California (Figure 1) The land surface in the vicinity of the subject site slopes gently towards <br /> the San Joaquin River, which is approximately 1 5 miles south of the site Texaco began <br /> retailing gasoline at the site in the 1960s In 1998 Texaco transferred service station operations <br /> to Equilon Enterprises LLC, who subsequently closed the site in December 1998 The layout of <br /> the former Texaco service station consisted of a service station building, a car wash, four fuel <br /> dispenser islands, and four underground storage tanks (USTs) United Gas placed their USTs in <br /> Cambria the same location as the former Texaco USTs The site layout is shown on Figure 2 The station <br /> Environmental was a United Gas service station from 1999 until sometime in 2004 when the station bland <br /> Technology,Inc <br /> switched to ARCO <br /> 1*Perkins Street <br /> P O Box 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4950 <br /> Fax(707)935-6649 <br />
