Charter Way, Stockton, CA
Attached Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest No. 95894484
Attached Chevron Product Delivery Invoice No. 454436
Dear Mr. Lopez:
Per your letters dated November 19, 1996 and December 4, 1996 and per our telephone conversation on
December 9. 1996. Chevron is submitting the following information to satisfy our legal requirement of
• providing a written statement of business closure and documentation supporting the removal of hazardous
materials from the subject service station.
Chevron closed and discontinued its operations at the subject service station on July 31, 1996. At the time
of closure there were approximately 914 gallons of regular unleaded gasoline, 1,688 gallons of unleaded
mid-grade gasoline, and 908 gallons of unleaded supreme gasoline remaining in the three underground
storage talks onsite. Each of these remaining products were pumped out on August 1, 1996 and were
transported by Chevron's contract transporter to our refinery in Richmond, California for recycling.
Chevron's Product Delivery Invoice No. 454436 is attached as supporting documentation. On September
6, 1996 Chevron's contractor,Erickson, Inc., rinsed and pumped out 1,100 gallons of liquid from the
waste oil underground storage tank at the subject site. The liquid was transported under hazardous waste
manifest number 95894484 to Romic Enviromnental in Pato Alto, California for proper disposal. A copy
of manifest number 95894484 is attached for your records.
Hopefully this information will satisfy the corrective action requirements specified in your letters. If you
have any questions or comments, please contact me at(510)842-8695.
Sincerely,
44 ;e•
Brett L.
