t •
508 West Charter Way
ARCADIS BBL proposed that the groundwater samples be analyzed for total petroleum
hydrocarbon quantified as gasoline (TPH-g); TPH quantified as diesel (TPH-d); TPH
quantified as motor oil (TPH-mo); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes
(BTEX); tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), methyl tertiary-butyl ether(MTBE), ethyl tertiazy-
butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), and 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-
DCA). In addition to these compounds, EHD directs that groundwater samples collected
from the new wells also be analyzed for di-isopropyl ether (RIPE) and 1,2-
dibromoethane (EDB) during the initial sampling event. If these analytes are not detected
during the first sampling event, then DIPE and EDB may be omitted from the analyte list
for future sampling events for all monitoring wells.
Please address EHD's comments in writing by September 5, 2007, and contact Vicki
McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or by email at vmccar-tnev@t)sjcehd.com if you have any
questions regarding this letter.
Donna Heran,REHS, Director
(
Environmental Health
Department
Victoria L.
