A document entitled Work Plan for Site Assessment Activities prepared by Pacific
Environmental Group, Inc. (Pacific) was submitted for your review and approval on December
8, 1997. In January 1998, SECOR replaced Pacific as Chevron's environmental consultant for
this site. No approval or letter responding to the work plan has been received to date by either
Chevron or SECOR. On February 18, 1998, a meeting regarding sites at Lincoln and Charter
Ways was convened at the San Joaquin County Public Health Services -Environmental Health
Division (PHS/EHD) offices. This meeting was attended by Margaret Lagorio and you as well
as representatives of the State Water Resources Control Board, and responsible parties and their
consultants, including Chevron and SECOR. A number of issues regarding possible future
assessment and possible remediation techniques as well as the co-mingled plume application
process and possible cost sharing ideas were discussed. Since that time, no correspondence
from PHS/EHD regarding the site has been received by either Chevron or SECOR. Chevron
would like to proceed on the proposed work and requests your approval of the above-mentioned
work plan.
If there are any questions regarding the contents of this letter, please call me at (916) 364-1880,
ext. 230.
Sincerely,
SECOR International Incorporated
Ro er Hoffmore
Project Geologist
cc: Ms. Margaret Lagorio, San Joaquin County PHS/EHD
Mr. Brett Hunter, Chevron Products Company
Mr. Mark List, RWQCB —Central Valley Region
Mrs. Pearl Myer, 1120 S.
