Charter Way, Stockton, CA
Attached Groundwater Monitoring Report(Blaine Tech, 7/14/95)
Dear Mr. Knoll:
• Attached you will find a report dated July 14, 1995,which was prepared by Chevron's consultant,Blaine
Tech Services,Inc. (Blaine Tech),to describe the results of groundwater monitoring that was performed at
the subject site on May 26, 1995.
During their May site visit Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all three site-related wells. The measured
direction of groundwater flow beneath the site was toward the southwest. Groundwater samples collected
from each well were analyzed for the presence of TPHGas,BTEX constituents, and halogenated volatile
organic compounds(HVOC's). In addition, samples from well MW-1 were analyzed for waste oil
constituents(i.e.,TPHDiesel,total oil and grease,metals,and semi-volatile organic compounds-
SVOC's).
There were detectable concentrations of dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons measured at wells MW-1 and
MW-3. No dissolved hydrocarbons were detected at well MW-2. Groundwater samples from both,MW-I
and MW-3 also contained 1,2 Dichloroethane. Phenol was detected in groundwater at well MW-1.
According to the measured direction of groundwater flow beneath the site, the presence of dissolved
hydrocarbons at well MW-3 suggests the possibility of an offsite, upgradient source. Subsequent
groundwater monitoring results will be evaluated to verify this.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
