r <br /> S E C 0 R <br /> • Conceptual Site Model <br /> March 24, 2004 <br /> Page 11 <br /> a <br /> • Former Colombo/Toscana Bakery, located at 1444 Lincoln Street, Stockton, California <br /> • Former Dolly Madison Bakery, located at 1426 Lincoln Street, Stockton, California <br /> • Shell Branded Service Station, 620 West Charter Way, Stockton, California <br /> A discussion of each of these LUST sites is presented below <br /> 6 1 Chevron Service Station 9-2033 <br /> A discussion is presented in preceding sections 3 through 4 <br /> , <br /> 6.2 Former Texaco Service Station <br /> 621 Site Description <br /> The site is currently an operating ARCO branded service station located on the southeast corner of <br /> West Charter Way and South Lincoln Street The land surface slopes gently towards the San b <br /> Joaquin�S,ver, which is approximately 1 5 miles west southwest of the site Texaco Marketing and <br /> Refining (Texaco) began retailing gasoline at the site in the 1960s and closed the facility in <br /> December 1998 Historically four USTs were located on site consisting of one 12,000 gallon <br /> gasoline and three 10,000 gallon fiberglass USTs One of the 10,000 gallon USTs contained diesel <br /> and two contained gasolind(Cambna, 1999) Based on a review of available documents during a file <br /> review, the date ARCO initiate retail gasoline operations could not be determined and current site <br /> facilities could not be ascertained <br /> 6 2 2 Remedial Activities <br /> October 1988 GTI excavated and removed approximately 700 tons of soil in the location of the UST <br /> pit and dispenser islands In the fall of 1995 a SVE system began operation at the site Four SVE <br /> wells (VEW-1 A, VEW-1 B, VEW-2A, and VEW-2B) were installed in the northeast corner of the site, <br /> immediately down-gradient of the dispenser islands and USTs The SVE system removed <br /> approximately 6,250 pounds of TPHg from January 1996 to March 1998 (Cambria 1999) The SVE <br /> system was shut down in March 1998 due to decreasing vapor concentrations and rising <br /> groundwater <br /> 6 2 3 Historical Report Summary <br /> In August of 1995, SECOR completed the Installation and startup of a soil vapor extraction and <br /> treatment system at the site Texaco formerly owned and operated a gasoline service station and car r <br /> wash at this site Sod vapor was extracted from two zones Sod vapor extraction from the upper ; <br /> zone (15 feet bgs to 25 feet bgs) was accomplished by vapor extraction wells VEW-1 A and VEW-2A <br /> located in unsaturated soil Soil vapor extraction from the lower zone (25 feet bgs to 40 feet bgs) was <br /> . accomplished by vapor extraction wells VEW-1 B and VEW-213 located 1n unsaturated soil <br /> 11Chevron1920331F1EPORTSICSWCSM 92033(REV B) doc <br /> 3 <br />
