Charter Way in Stockton (Site).
In the Work Plan, AGE proposes to advance a single hand-auger boring in between the two former
underground storage tanks (USTs), as follows:
Boring Total Depth Soil Sampling Depth Analysis
(ft b s (ft b s
B1 10 5, 10 TPHg, BTEX, MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE,
TAME, EDB, 1,2-DCA, na hthalene, PAHs
TPHg=total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline;BTEX=benzene,toluene,ethylbenzene,xylenes; MTBE=methyl tert butyl ether;
TBA=tert butyl alcohol; DIPE=di-ispropyl ether; ETBE=ethyl tert butyl ether;TAME=tert amyl methyl ether; EDB=ethylene dibromide,
1,2-DCA=1,2-dichloroethylene;PAH=polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons
Boring B2R was advanced at the southern end of the 550-gallon underground storage tank (UST)
of unknown contents removed in 1996. Soil samples collected at 10.5 and 25.5 feet below ground
surface (bgs) from B2R were below reporting limits for volatile organic compounds (VOCs),
chlorinated hydrocarbons, and polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs). The proposed boring appears to
address remaining soil data gaps at the Site. As such, Central Valley Water Board staff concurs
with the scope of work as proposed in the Work Plan.
By 9 November 2018, please submit an Assessment Report detailing the completion of the
proposed scope of work and the resultant findings.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding comments in this letter please contact the
undersigned of(916) 464-4615 or by email at alan.buehler(awaterboards.ca.gov.
GPI GOAlan M.
