7 <br /> shQaW " Shaw Environmental, Inc. <br /> �D <br /> ' FEB J 2005 <br /> ENVIRONMENT HEALTH <br /> P11'11 /SES+.��}} <br /> Fe ruary U�,E§005 <br /> Project No 880-039 IA 01010000 <br />' Ms Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services <br /> 304 East Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Fourth Quarter 2004 Status Report for The Transmission Shop <br /> 515 West Charter Way, Stockton, California <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br />' On behalf of The Transmission Shop, Shaw Environmental, Inc (Shaw) has performed <br /> quarterly groundwater monitoring and weekly remediation system operation and <br /> maintenance (O&M) at the above-referenced site Shaw has prepared this status report of <br /> that work performed during the fourth quarter 2004 <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The Transmission Shop (site) is located at the northwest corner of the intersection of <br /> Charter Way and Lincoln Street in Stockton, San Joaquin County, California (Figure 1) <br /> The site is a multi-business property located in a commercial area consisting of The <br /> Transmission Shop, a transmission repair shop and the former Rodger's Harbor Sea <br />' Food Market According to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services (SJCPHS), <br /> two underground storage tanks (USTs) were previously at the site, which was a retail <br />' service station that dispensed gasoline until sometime in the 1950s It is unknown when <br /> the first UST and dispenser island were removed Thorpe Oil of Lodi, California, <br /> removed the second UST in February 1996 Residual hydrocarbons were reported in <br />' soil samples collected from beneath the UST, however, Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons <br /> as gasoline (TPHg), Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons as diesel (TPHd), and benzene <br /> concentrations were below laboratory detection limits <br />' There are three known former or current automobile service stations with UST facilities <br /> near the site a former ARCO Service Station, a Chevron Service Station, and a <br /> N ISacDP120051Prj188018800391A 5aa doc SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL, INC <br />
