Mr James Barton Pro ect N - <br /> � 0 880 039 IA 01070000 <br /> April 29, 2003 <br /> Page 5 <br /> ADDITIONAL WORK PERFORMED <br /> On March 24 and April 4, 2003, Shaw oversaw the installation of four additional <br /> monitoring wells Two of the wells were completed to a depth of 30 feet with screen <br /> between 15 and 30 feet The other two wells were installed in a dual completion well <br /> with one casing to a depth of 50 feet with screen from 35 to 50 feet, while the other <br /> casing is to a depth of 80 feet, with screen from 75 to 80 feet Full details of the well <br /> installation procedures, sampling data, analytical results, and boring locations will be <br /> presented in a separate report currently being prepared <br /> P�k - <br /> CONCLUSIONS <br /> Analytical results of groundwater samples collected from the site were generally consistent <br /> with previous sampling events Groundwater elevation increased between 0 98 to 1 18 feet <br /> from the previous sampling event (November 13, 2002) The observed groundwater <br /> gradient during the first quarter 2003 was 0 004, with flow to the south-southwest Graphs <br /> showing TPHg, benzene, MTBE concentrations, and groundwater elevations versus time <br /> in wells MW-I R, VW-2, and VW-3 are presented in Appendix E <br /> Approximately 6 pounds of TPHg and less than 0 01 pounds of benzene were removed <br />' during the first quarter 2003 The system performed in compliance with permit <br /> - requirements Pulsed operation of the SVE system began in the second quarter 2002, and <br /> continued during the first quarter 2003 <br /> Shaw will continue to perform quarterly groundwater sampling The next sampling <br /> event is tentatively scheduled for May 2003 <br /> 11SACRFP 11COMMON1saeDP120031Prj188018800391 A 3ae doe SHAW ENVIRONMENTAL,INC <br />
