Mr Don Rodgers Proposal P96-050 31 <br /> May 14, 1996 <br /> Page 7 <br /> determine whether the effective ROI for the well vanes with applied vacuum The <br /> following parameters will be monitored during each 1-hour test. <br /> • Induced air flow rate form using a Pitot tube velocity meter installed in the <br /> 2-inch PVC pipe connecting the well to the IC engine <br /> • Applied vacuum at one vapor well and induced vacuum at observation wells <br /> using magnehelic pressure gauges placed at each w ell to evaluate the ROI for <br /> the well at each applied vacuum <br /> • Percent oxygen in extracted vapor using an oxygen meter, and organic vapor <br /> concentrations in extracted vapors at one vapor extraction well using a suitable <br /> volatile-hydrocarbon meter <br /> • Levels TPHG, BTEX, and fixed gases (carbon dioxide, oxygen, and methane) <br /> in extracted vapor by an air sample taken at the SVE well using Tedlar bags <br /> and a vacuum box <br /> PROJECT SCHEDULE <br /> Following approval of the workplan by the SJCPHS, ENICON will apply for well <br /> permits Obtaining permits from the SJCPHS may take 2 to 4 weeks It is anticipated that <br /> once the permits are received, it will take approximately 2 weeks for a drill ng to become <br /> available EMCON anticipates that performing the field activities will require <br /> approximately i to 2 days to complete Analytical results will be received approximately <br /> 2 weeks after the samples have been submitted for chemical analysis The CAP will be <br /> completed approximately 4 to 6 weeks after receipt of the certified analytical reports In <br /> the event that an SVE test is conducted, EMCON is anticipating the SVE test will take <br /> 1 day to complete If the SVE test is performed, the results of the investigation will <br /> presented in the CAP, in which case the CAP will be completed in 8 weeks <br /> PROJECT TEAM <br /> Resumes of the following qualified project personnel are attached to this proposal <br /> Jay Johnson, State of California Registered Geologist, will be Principal-in-Charge/Project <br /> Manager for this project Mr Johnson is also Protect Manager for mayor oil company <br /> contracts originating in the Sacramento office Mr Johnson will ensure that the project <br /> will have a smooth start-up and will allocate available resources to meet the schedule and <br /> budget, and he will serve as liaison between EMCON and Mr. Rodgers <br /> i <br /> SAOK 1P96-050 3 i-95�dms i <br />
