Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons have not detected at depths shallower than 20 feet since Soil
Vapor extraction (SVE) was performed This is inferred to be due to the removal of
' contaminants from the vadose zone via the SVE performed from February 2000 to October 2004
3.5.i Composition and Concentration
' Leaked hydrocarbons at the site consist of gasoline and diesel-range analytes and mixtures
Neither MTBE nor other recent oxygenates are present in the subsurface in relation to the release
' from the former site UST systems
Hydrocarbon concentrations in some areas beneath the water table exceed their solubility limits
because SPH is locally present SPH was visually observed in soil samples recovered from DP-
9, the only boring from which soil samples were recovered
It is inferred that there is no longer mobile SPH at the site This is because of the age of release
and absence of SPH or sheen or hydrocarbon supersaturation in wells and water samples from
' the site
3.5.2 Latera!Extent
' The lateral extent of dissolved and sorbed hydrocarbon appears to be as follows
o Beneath most or all of the space between the property buildings and the corner of
Lincoln St and Charter Way
• Beneath a portion of Lincoln Street, extending eastward from the property
' Lincoln Street is owned by the City of Stockton
1 The lateral extent of hydrocarbon is uncertain in the following areas
o Beneath the Transmission Shop building
' o Beneath the drapery shop building (i e , north of wells VW-3 and MW-4-RS and
MW-4-RD)
' e Beneath the SVE compound that lies between the two property buildings
G Beneath Charter Way, south of the property
' 3.5.3 Vertical Extent
1 Hydrocarbons associated with the former property UST systems appear to be limited to the
saturated zone Various data indicate that the vadose zone has largely been remediated of
hydrocarbons The site water table has fluctuated between about 19 and 27 feet bgs in the last
several years Because of this the "shallow limit" of hydrocarbons fluctuates dynamically
between about 20 to 25 feet bgs
' SSCDP N ITwhPub112022f Dorn RodM RPtSISIRI,9XM92006SIR fAU9USQ dX _
82306
