P O BOX 4023 CONCORD CA 94524 i Dear Responsible Party: i When your site was placed into the Local Oversight Program (formerly Pilot ` Program) , you were sent a Notice of Reimbursement b the local agency. The 9 ) � Y Y notice stated that you would be required to reimburse the State Water Resources Control Board for all costs incurred by any and all state and loal agencies while overseeing the cleanup of your site. Recently enacted legislation has revised cost recovery in the Local Oversight Program. Under the new law, you will be required to reimburse the State Water Resources Control Board only for site specific costs incurred by the local agency which are attributed to your site, plus ;an additional 50 percent of that amount to pay a portion of the program management charges. Any further program management charges and state agency charges will not be billed to you. This change will become effective for any costs attributed to your site after December 31, 1990. You will remain responsible for all costs if they were incurred prior to December 31, 1990. The new law further requires that a new Notice of Reimbursement be sent to you advising you of the change in cost recovery. The notice is attached to this letter.
