(Cambria) prepared this work plan as requested in San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department's (SJCEHD's) May 18, 2005 letter. The purpose of this <br /> investigation is to,further assess the lateral and vertical extent of petroleum constituents in <br /> groundwater and the lateral 'extent of petroleum hydrocarbonsin soil beneath and in the vicinity - s <br /> of the subject site. The scope of work presented in this document complies with SJCEHD and <br /> Regional Water Quality Control Board guidelines. <br /> r <br /> SITE'DESCRIPTION <br /> i <br /> The site is an active Shell-branded service station located at 620 West Charter Way, east of <br /> Interstate 5 in a commercial area of Stockton, California (Figure 1). The site layout includes a <br /> service station building, six dispenser islands, a fuel underground storage tank (UST) complex, <br /> and a car wash (Figure 2). <br /> PREVIOUS INVESTIGATIONS <br /> Cambria <br /> Environmental During February 1989, Delta Environmental Consultants (Delta) drilled eight soil borings to <br /> Technology,Inc. assess site conditions prior to UST removal and replacement activities. In November 1989, four <br /> USTs were excavated and removed.
