Exploratory boring logs will be prepared for each of the borings. Soil samples designated for chemical analyses will be'retained in stainless steel or brass sample tubes. The tubes will be covered on both ends with Teflon sheets and plastic end caps. Groundwater samples will be collected in vials with hydrochloric acid preservative and no headspace. Soil and groundwater samples will be labeled and placed into a cooler with ice for transport to a State-of-California certified laboratory for analyses. Sample information will be entered onto a chain-of-custody record: Chemical Analyses: Soil and groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates (MTBE, di-isopropyl ether; tertiary amyl methyl ether, ethyl tertiary butyl ether, and tertiary butyl alcohol), 1,2-dichloroethane, and ethylene dibromide by EPA Method 8260B. Report Preparation: Following the receipt of analytical results from the laboratory and the CPT boring logs from the driller, Cambria will prepare a written report, which will include field procedures, laboratory results, conclusions, and recommendations for future activities (including intermediate and deep well.installation). The scope of work described in this work plan will be performed under the supervision of a ., t professional geologist or engineer.` SCHEDULE Upon receiving work plan approval from SJCEHD, Cambria will prepare SJCEHD drilling and City of Stockton encroachment permit applications. Cambria will schedule the field work within 60 days of receiving the approved permits. After completing the field work, Cambria will submit a report of findings within 60 days of receiving the laboratory reports. i i i V 5
