The investigation is intended to characterize the
distribution of petroleum constituents in soil and ground water beneath and adjacent to the site. This
letter report summarizes the results of ground water sampling activities performed at the site on
April 26, 1991,along with sit:activities perfot mcd in March and April 1991- Quarterly ground water
sa:epics were collected front existing monitoring wells MW-1,MW-3,MW-5,MW-6,MW-7,MW-8,and
MW-9 identified in Figure 2. Monitoring wells MW-2 and MW4 contained free-phase floating product
and were not sampled. All field activities were followed using procedures described in Enclosure A.
Witter Level Denth. Flow Direction, and 11211 ulle Gradlent
Ground Waterlevel measurements were recorded on April 26,1991,from ground water monitoring wells
MW-1 through MW-9 and are compiled in TEble 1, along with ground water level measurements
recorded throughout the duration of this investigation. A plot of this historical data(Figure 3)shows
a general decline in water elevations over the'past year, dropping by approximately 2 to 5 feet within
the wells since December 1989,wit11 the exceptson of water levels measured in monitoring well MW-1,
The plot shows unexpected elevations in monitoring wells hlw-1 and MW-5 relative to the historical
trend for these wells,
