Delta proposes to install one ground water monitoring well(MW-11)
on the sidewalk of Harrison Street near West Charter Way as shown on the enclosed site vicinity map.
This monitoring well has been proposed for installation as part of a subsurface investigation requested
by th—California Regional Water Quality Control Board,Central Valley Region. This investigation d
being conducted to determine, the presence or absence of gasoline constituents in the vicinity st a service
is
station facility located at 620 West Charter Way,Stockton,California.
The scope of the proposed work involves drilling one 10-inch-diameter hole to a depth of approximately
40 feet, utilizing a truck-mounted drill rig. The drill rig measures approximately 25 feet long and 8 feet
wide. The well would be constructed in one day, with a design similar to the one shown on the enclosed
monitoring well construct on diagram. The well azll be finished with an internal locking cover and a
traffic-rated external a'rcular protection cover, approximately I foot in diameter, that is flush with the
ground surface, Upon completion of the well, the soil and ground water generated during construction
will be removed, and the surface returned as close asis reasonably possible to
its present state.
Necessary traffic signs and cones will be used to divert and/or direct traffic.
Underground utility Iocations have been identified with the local utility services as ShoRn on the
enclosed site map. The locations have been confirmed with the aid of the Underground Services Alert
Network and its subscribers, The boring will be hand-augcred to a depth of 5 feet below 1 tdc prior
to drilling to confirm that underground utilities are avoided.
