Well records show that a well located near the intersection of Center and Jefferson Streets, <br /> approximately 2,500 feet northeast (downgradient) of the site, is owned by the California Water Service <br /> � n <br /> Company. <br /> 2.4 Utilities <br /> The site lies within the City and is serviced by City water and sewer Iines. A 24-inch san;ary server line and <br /> a 16-inch asbestos/cement(AC)water line are present along.ire,)ela side Uf Charter Way. A 64 ch cast <br /> ... iror,water line exists 19 feet south of the centerline.along Charter'Way. Electrical and natural gas lines are <br /> present along the northern edge of'he property,immediafeiy south of the sidewalk. <br /> 2.5 Re tonal <br /> -Geolney and 111drogeology <br /> w The site lies within the Great Valley geomorphic province. The geologic materials beneath the region <br /> consist primarily of stream and delta plain deposits of the San Joaquin River and its tributaries(Norris and <br /> `,riNebb,1976). Surficial geology of the area consists of fluvial sands,silts,and clays,and is considered to be <br /> several hundred feet thick (Jennings, et al.. 1977). The San Joaquin County Flood Control and Water <br /> Conservation District Map for Spring 1989 indicates that the unconfined and semicanfined ground water <br /> aqu'rers in the vicinity of the site generally now to the northeast. <br />
