Background information regarding this project in contained <br /> in Delta's Final Rernediation Plan, dated January 29, 1991. Eased on ground water analytical data <br /> collected to date, the downgiodient extent of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in ground water is <br /> undefined. <br /> The purpose for Installing the additional ground water monitoring well (MW-10) is to assist In <br /> delineation of the:dcr*ng�adient exkmt of petroleum hydrocarbon constituents in ground water, Depth <br /> to water in the vicinity of the site is approximately 35 feet below grade. The proposed ground water <br /> man]toring welt will be Installed to approximately 45 feet below grade. The soil boring will be advanced <br /> using a hollow-stem auger drilling rig. Soil samples will be collected at 5-toot vertical Intervals,and <br /> ficid-analyzed for the presence of organic vapors with a photoionizatlon detector or similar devi+ <br /> Selected soil samples will be submitted to a sta(C-certifirA laboratory for laboratory analysis of benzene, <br /> toluene,ethylbenzene,and xylenes(BTEX)and total petroleum hydrocarbons(TPI-1)as gasoline using <br /> U.S.Environmental Protection Agency and California Department of Health Services approved methods. <br /> Soil cuttings generated from the soil borings will be lempurarily stored on site under vlsqueen. A soil <br /> sample will be collected from the stockpile and analyzed for BTEX and TPH as gasoline.
