A M B R I A Ms Vicki McCartney
April 6,2006
INVESTIGATION RESULTS
Soil Analytical Results Soil samples were collected from borings CPT-14 and CPT-15 at depths
of 20, 30, and 40 fbg and from boning CPT-17 at depths of 20, 30, 41, and 50 fbg No TPHg,
BTEX, fuel oxygenates, 1,2-DCA, or EDB were detected in any soil sample collected during this
investigation
Table 2 summarizes soil analytical data, and Figure 2 presents TPHg, benzene, MTBE, TBA, and
1,2-DCA concentrations The laboratory analytical report is included in Attachment D
Groundwater Analytical Results Groundwater samples were collected from borings CPT-12 (at
depths of 47, 56, 66, 74, 79, and 87 fbg), CPT-13 (at 53, 60, 77,and 87 fbg), CPT-14 (at 28 fbg),
CPT-16 (at 25 and 32 fbg), and CPT-17 (at 41, 67, 75, 83, and 90 fbg) As discussed above, no
groundwater samples could be collected from boring CPT-15 because it did not produce
sufficient water to collect a sample
Groundwater samples from boring CPT-12 contained TPHg at 61 ppb (at 74 fbg) and 100 ppb (at
87 fbg)/MTBE at 0 82 ppb (at 66 fbg) and 3 3 ppb (at 87 fbg), and TBA at 6 0 ppb (at 87 fbg) `
For both TPHg detections, the laboratory noted that there was a quantity of unknown
hydrocarbon(s) in the samples based on gasoline GroundwateAom this boring also contained
1,2-DCA at concentrations ranging from 0 77 to 6 7 ppb (from 65 to 87 fbg) No BTEX, DIPS,
ETRE, TAME, or EDB were detected in CPT-12 1Groundwater from CPT-13 contained 1V
1 v 1,700 ppb TPHg, 69 ppb benzene, 9 5 ppb MTBE, 12 ppb TBA, and 0 80 ppb 1,2-DCA in the W
a777-fbg sample f Groundwater from this boring also contained 0 67 ppb MTBE (at 60 fbg) and t
ra N 2 4 ppb 1,2-DCA (at 87 fbg) No DIPS, ETBE,TAME,or EDB were detected in CPT-13 9
The groundwater sample from CPT-14 (at 28 fbg) contained 12 ppb MTBE Nom ;gBTEX,
fuel oxygenates other than MTBE, 1,2-DCA, or EDB were detected in CPT-14 Groundwater
samples from boring CPT-16 (at 25 and 32 fbg) contained up to 27,000 ppb TPHg, 3,600 ppb
benzene, 65 ppb MTBE, 48 ppb TBA, and 2 4 ppb 1,2-DCA No DIPE, ETBE, TAME, or EDB
were detected ;n CPT-16
The 90-fbg groundwater sample in boring CPT-l7 contained 14 ppb 1,2-DCA 1,2-DCA was not
detected in the shallower groundwater samples, and no TPHg, BTEX, fuel oxygenates, or EDB
were detected in groundwater from this boring
Table 3 summarizes groundwater analytical data, and Figure 2 presents TPHg, benzene, MTBE,
TBA, and 1,2-DCA concentrations The laboratory analytical data is included in Attachment D
6
