CAMBRIA <br /> JAS 2 4 2003 <br /> r <br /> W1 K(,', :vi EN MI;i <br /> January 21, 2003 <br /> Ms Lori Duncan <br /> San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department <br /> 304 E Weber Avenue, Third Floor <br /> Stockton, California 95202 <br /> Re Site Investigation Report <br /> Shell-branded Service Station <br /> 620 West Charter Way <br /> Stockton, California <br /> SAP Code 136147 <br /> Incident No 98996187 <br /> SJCEHD Site Code 1058124 <br /> Dear Ms Duncan <br /> A <br /> Cambria Environmental Technology, Inc (Cambria) prepared this report on behalf of Shell Oil <br /> Products US (Shell) to document the recent site investigation activities at the above referenced <br /> site The purpose of the investigation was to further assess the extent of hydrocarbons in soil and <br /> groundwater beneath the site Cambria followed the scope of work presented in our <br /> November 5, 2001 Site Investigation Work Plan, which was approved in San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) correspondence dated November 15, 2001 The <br /> work was performed in accordance with SJCEHD and Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board (RWQCB) guidelines <br /> SITE BACKGROUND <br /> Site Description The subject site is an active Shell-branded service station located at 620 West <br /> Charter Way, east of Interstate 5 in Stockton, California (Figure 1) The site layout includes a <br /> service station building, six dispenser islands, a fuel underground storage tank (UST) complex, <br /> and a car wash (Figure 2) <br /> Previous Investigations: In February 1989, Delta Environmental Consultants (Delta) drilled <br /> Oakland CA eight soil borings to assess site conditions prior to UST removal and replacement activities In <br /> San Ramon CA November 1989, four USTs were excavated and removed Soil samples were collected from <br /> Sonoma CA former tanks and product line trench excavations <br /> Cambria <br /> Environmental Between December 1989 and January 1990, Delta installed groundwater monitoring wells MW-1 <br /> Technology,Inc through MW-7 Underground piping was installed to wells MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-5, and <br /> *,kms Street <br /> P 0 Box 259 <br /> Sonoma CA 95476 <br /> Tel(707)935-4850 <br /> Fax(707)935-6649 <br />
