It is the understanding of AGE that two
12.000-gallon single-walled gasoline USTs were installed at the site in 1972. One 1,000-gallon
double-walled UST was installed at the site at a later time.
On 19 June 1997, four soil probe borings were advanced at the site near the 12,000-gallon USTs .
Petroleum hydrocarbons were detected in soil samples collected near the southeast corner of the
USTs. Soil probe boring installations were described in a Preliminary .Site Assessment Report
prepared by AGE in August 1997.
3.0. PROCEDURES
3.1. All USTs and their connecting
piping were triple rinsed with a steam cleaner. The rinsate was removed from the USTs by Nor Cal
Oil, using a vacuum truck and was hauled to Americlean, Inc. in Silver Springs, Nevada for
disposal/recycling. A certificate of triple rinse and invoice for rinse water disposal are included in
Appendix A. Approximately 1,000 pounds of dry ice was added to the USTs (minimum of 30
pounds per 1,000 gallon capacity).
