The San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) determined that contaminant concentrations appeared to be strongly
rebounding in groundwater monitored by MW-1. In addition, groundwater monitored by MW-6 has
exhibited a consistent increase in contaminant concentrations since April 2010. By letter dated
13 November 2014, the EHD recommended that the State Water Resources Control Board
Cleanup Fund (Fund) approve, at minimum, two more quarterly groundwater monitoring events to
further evaluate contaminant concentration trends at the subject site.
By telephone conversation with Fund staff on 17 December 2014, the Fund concurs with the
EHD's recommendation to perform two additional rounds of groundwater monitoring. Your
consulting firm, Advanced GeoEnvironmenal, Inc. (AGE), has notified the EHD that these events
are planned to occur during the 4th quarter 2014 and the 1St quarter 2015. The EHD directs that
monitoring wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-4, MW-6, MW-8A, and MW-9A be sampled during
these groundwater monitoring events and analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline
(TPH-g); benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes (BTEX); methyl tertiary-butyl ether
(MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETRE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), di-isopropyl ether
(DIPE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA), 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) and 1,2-dibromoethane (EDB).
Please notify the EHD at least 5 working days prior to conducting the sampling events.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Gabriel Gonzalez at (209) 468-
3442, or by ernail at gagonzalez@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
"v'
rely,
SGL
Gabriel Gonzalez Nuel Henderson, PG
Environmental Health Specialist Engineering Geologist
c: Daniel Villanueva, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc., 837 Shaw Road, Stockton,
California 95215
ec: GeoTracker
James L.L.
