INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Khaldoon Othman of K & S Grocery, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
1 (AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 701 East Charter Way, Stockton,
California The scope of work included a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation
of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well locations are
illustrated in Figure 2 Background information is summarized in the AGE-prepared Monitoring Well
Installation Report, dated 02 June 1999 Data from previous ground water monitoring events are
' summarized in the tables of this report
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines established by the Central Valley Regional
Water Quality Control Board for investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites
lie 2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 25 July 2002, a Solmst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
monitoring wells MWI. through MW3 relative to the tops of the well casings (well heads) The
ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1)
After recording water level measurements, disposable polyethylene bailers were used to evacuate
the wells of standing water A minimum of 3 casing-water volumes were removed from each well-
10 5 gallons from MW and 7 gallons each from MW2 and MW3 Ground water temperature, pH
and conductivity were measured at regular purge-volume intervals during evacuation using an
Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Evacuated water was
' stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon Department of Transportation(DOT)-approved drums
' 22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
The depth to ground water was measured in each well following evacuation to assure a minimum
' of 80%recharge prior to sampling Water samples were then collected using new disposable plastic
bailers Each water sample was transferred into laboratory-supplied 40-m1 VOA vials containing
0 5 ml 18%hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative The sample vials were then labeled with the
' monitoring well designation, date, time of sampling and the sampler's initials The samples were
transported in a chilled container under chain of custody to CAL TECH Environmental Laboratories
Advanced GcoEnvjronmental,Inc
1
