INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Khaldoon Othman of K & S Grocery, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
(AGE)has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 701 East Charter Way, Stockton.,
California The scope of work included quarterly ground water monitoring and preparation of this
report The site setting is illustrated in Figure I Structures and monitoring well locations are
illustrated in Figure 2
ISite background information was summarized in the AGE-prepared Monitoring Well Installation
Report, dated 02 June 1999
2.0. PROCEDURES
All f eld work was performed in accordance with California Regional Water Quality Control Board
guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring wells and investigations of underground storage
lietank (UST) sites
21 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
On 19 March 2001, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
monitoring wells MW I through MW3 relative to the tops of the well casings (well heads) The
ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these data (Table 1)
After recording water level measurements, disposable polyvinyl chloride (PVC)bailers were used
to purge each well of standing water Approximately 3 casing-water volumes were removed from
each well, I I gallons from MW-I and about 7 gallons each from MW-2 and MW-3 Ground water
temperature,pH and conductivity were measured at regular purge-volume intervals during purging
using a Hydac water analyzer Field sheets and data are included in Appendix A Purged water was
stored on-site in labeled, 55-gallon DOT-approved drums
2 2 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
The depth to ground water was measured in each well following purging to assure a minimum of
I 80% recharge prior to sampling Water samples were there collected using new disposable plastic
bailers Each water sample was transferred into 40-m1 VOA vials containing 0 5 ml 18%
hydrochloric acid as a sample preservative The sample vials were then labeled with the monitoring
Iwell designation, date, time of sampling and the sampler's initials The samples were transported in
Advanced GeoEnv:ronmental,Inc
