17 September 1999 <br /> p � <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0326 <br /> Page 3 of 4 <br />' 32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF WATER SAMPLES <br /> TPH-g was detected in samples collected from MWI, MW2 and MW3 at concentrations of 90,000 <br />' parts per billion (ppb, reported as micrograms per liter), 94,000 ppb and 290,000 ppb, respectively <br /> Benzene was detected in samples from MWI, MW2 and MW3 at concentrations of 2,000 ppb, <br />' 15,000 ppb and 23,000 ppb, respectively Toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes were detected at <br /> concentrations as high as 31,000 ppb, 4,500 ppb and 29,000 ppb, respectively (MW3) <br /> MTBE was detected in MWI, MW2 and MW3 at concentrations of 570 ppb, 24 ppb and 200 ppb, <br /> respectively TBA was detected in MWI at a concentration of 240 ppb DIPS, ETBE and TAME <br /> were not detected at the site Analytical results of water samples are summarized on Table 2 The <br /> laboratory report(AAL Order No A99061016), chain-of-custody form and QA/QC are included in <br /> Appendix B <br />' 4.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS <br />�. Based on the data collected from the site, AGE finds <br /> 0 The calculated ground water flow at the site is toward the south, however, historical ground <br /> water flow at adjacent sites has been toward the east to northeast <br /> • Very high concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons were detected In ground water samples <br /> Icollected from all three monitoring wells installed at the site <br /> • Neither the vertical nor horizontal extent of impacted ground water has been delineated at <br /> the site <br />' 5.0 RECOMMENDATIONS <br />' Based on the findings of the environmental activities recounted in this report AGE recommends <br /> • Installation of additional soil borings and monitoring wells for continued assessment of <br />' impacted soil and ground water as outlined in the Woi k Plan Addendum - September 1999, <br /> prepared by AGE, and submitted to the PHS-EHD <br /> • Performance of the next ground water monitoring event in September 1999, as required by <br /> . the PHS-EHD <br />' Monitoring for the presence of free product utilizing an interface probe in wells at the site <br /> Advanced GeAnwonnlental,Inc <br />
