07 February 2005
AGE-NC Project No 97-0326
Page 4of5
32 ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
' water samples were collected and submitted for laboratory analysis for the
Eleven ground a p
constituents listed in Section 2 2 , the analytical results are provided in Table 2 Based on the
analytical results, each HU is characterized below
HUI TPH-g was detected in ground water samples collected from HU 1 from wells MW-2,MW-3
iMW-8A and MW-9A, at concentrations ranging from 4,200 micrograms per liter (µg/1) in sample
MW-8A to 140,000 µg/1 in samples MW-3 (Figure 4), well MW-1 was not sampled due to the
' presence of free product
BTEX compounds were detected in all HUI wells, at maximum concentrations of 15,000 µg/l
benzene(MW-2), 15,000 µg/l toluene(MW-9A), 5,600 µg/1 ethylbenzene(MW-3)and 28,200 µg/1
xylenes (MW-3), only benzene was detected in well MW-7, at a concentration of 5 2 µg11
' The fuel additive MTBE was detected in ground water samples collected from HUI from wells
MW-2, MW-3 MW-8A and MW-9A at concentrations ranging between 58 µg/1 in sample MW-2
to 690 µg/1 in sample MW-9A (Figure 5) In addition, 1,2-DCA was detected in samples MW-3,
. MW-8A and MW-9A at a maximum concentration of 43 µg/l (MW-3)
HU2 TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in samples MW-813 and MW-913,the maximum
concentrations were detected in sample MW-913 at 8,000 µg/1 TPH-g, 5,900 µg/1 benzene,
15,000 µg/1 toluene, 1,800 µg11 ethylbenzene and 8,000 µg11 xylenes
aHU4 TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in samples MW-8C and MW-9C at maximum
concentrations of 1,700 µg/l TPH-g in sample MW-9C, and 1,200 µg/1 benzene, 51 µg/l toluene,
' 23 µg/l ethylbenzene and 39 µg/1 xylenes in sample MW-9C
HU6 TPH-g and BTEX compounds were detected in sample MW-913 at concentrations of 800 µg/l
TPH-g, 110µg/1 benzene,32µg/1 toluene,6 4µg11 ethylbenzene and 22 9µg/1 xylenes,only benzene
was detected in well MW-8D, at a concentration of 9 1 µg/I
No additional analytes were detected at or above the laboratory detection limits in the samples
analyzed The laboratory report (CTEL Project No 214-0406260) and chain-of-custody forms are
presented in Appendix C GeoTracker confirmation pages of the submitted laboratory electronic
' deliverable format (EDF) files are included in Appendix D Analytical results are summarized in
Table 2
' Advanced GeoEnVITonmental,Inc
