INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Khaldoon Othman of K & S Gas & Grocery,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,
Inc (AGE) has prepared this quarterly report for the property located at 701 East Charter Way,
Stockton, California The scope of work included a quarterly ground water monitoring event and
preparation of this report The site setting is illustrated in Figure 1 Structures and monitoring well
locations are illustrated to Figure 2 Site background information is summarized in Appendix A
Data from previous ground water monitoring events are summarized in the tables of this report
1
2.0. PROCEDURES
Field procedures were performed in accordance with Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control
Board(RWQCB)guidelines for investigating underground storage tank(UST)sites, and San Joaquin
County Environmental Health Department(EHD)guidelines for sampling ground water monitoring
wells
1 •
21 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION
On 28 October 2003, a Solinst water level meter was used to measure the depth to ground water in
monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 relative to the tops of the well casings (well heads) The
ground water elevations and gradient were determined from these data and are shown in Table 1
m water level measurements a Waterra H drolift Pum was used to evacuate wells
After recording Y p
MW-2 and MW-3 of standing water, during well purging, free product was observed in well MW-1,
and a disposable bailer was used to remove the free product A mirumum of 3 casing-water volumes
(6 gallons) were removed from wells MW-2 and MW-3, approximately 5 gallons (0 21 ft) of free
' product were removed from well MW-1
Ground water temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular purge-volume intervals
' during the evacuation of wells MW-2 and MW-3 using an Oakton water analyzer Field sheets and
data are included in Appendix B Evacuated water was stored on-site in properly labeled, 55-gallon
Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved drums
1
22 COLLECTION OF GROUND WATER SAMPLES
The depth to ground water was measured in wells MW-2 and MW-3 following evacuation to assure
a minimum of 80%recharge prior to sampling, well MW-1 was not re-measured or sampled due to
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
1
