29 October 2003
AGE-NC Project No 97-0326
I water flow direction on 14 July 2003 rotated approximately ninety degrees toward the north
and was flowing northeast for the first time since monitoring began
• High concentrations of TPH-g were detected in ground water samples collected from all
three monitoring wells on the site (see Figure 3) BTEX compounds and MTBE are at
concentrations exceeding California's Maximum Contaminant Levels for these products in
I drinking water The results of this sampling event are within the range of concentrations
historically seen at this site for these analytes
' • 1,2-DCA was detected in well MW-3 for the third consecutive time in the past ten sampling
events 1,2-DCA was also detected in wells MW-1 and MW-2 for the first time in the past
twelve sampling events
D EDB was detected in well MW-1 for the first time in the past twelve sampling events
• Neither the vertical nor horizontal extent of impacted ground water have been delineated at
' the site
50. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based on the findings of this investigation,AGE recommends continuation of the quarterly ground
water monitoring program, as required by the EHD
On 03 September 2002, the EHD approved the AGE-prepared Additional Monitoring Well
Installation Work Plan dated 16 July 2002 to install three single-level and five multi-level
monitoring wells at the site to monitor impacted ground water On-site well construction is
scheduled for completion during the fourth quarter 2003, off-site work will be scheduled pending
State UST Cleanup Fund approval
6.0. LIMITATIONS
I Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the hydrogeo logic conditions
at the site for the purpose of this Investigation were made from a limited number of available data
Points(I a ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points
No other warranty, expressed or implied,is made as to the professional interpretations, opinions and
recommendations contained In this report
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
