29 October 2003 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 97-0326 <br />' Page 4 of 4 <br /> I water flow direction on 14 July 2003 rotated approximately ninety degrees toward the north <br /> and was flowing northeast for the first time since monitoring began <br /> • High concentrations of TPH-g were detected in ground water samples collected from all <br /> three monitoring wells on the site (see Figure 3) BTEX compounds and MTBE are at <br /> concentrations exceeding California's Maximum Contaminant Levels for these products in <br /> I drinking water The results of this sampling event are within the range of concentrations <br /> historically seen at this site for these analytes <br />' • 1,2-DCA was detected in well MW-3 for the third consecutive time in the past ten sampling <br /> events 1,2-DCA was also detected in wells MW-1 and MW-2 for the first time in the past <br /> twelve sampling events <br /> D EDB was detected in well MW-1 for the first time in the past twelve sampling events <br /> • Neither the vertical nor horizontal extent of impacted ground water have been delineated at <br />' the site <br /> 50. RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> Based on the findings of this investigation,AGE recommends continuation of the quarterly ground <br /> water monitoring program, as required by the EHD <br /> On 03 September 2002, the EHD approved the AGE-prepared Additional Monitoring Well <br /> Installation Work Plan dated 16 July 2002 to install three single-level and five multi-level <br /> monitoring wells at the site to monitor impacted ground water On-site well construction is <br /> scheduled for completion during the fourth quarter 2003, off-site work will be scheduled pending <br /> State UST Cleanup Fund approval <br /> 6.0. LIMITATIONS <br /> I Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by <br /> environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon <br /> analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluation of the hydrogeo logic conditions <br /> at the site for the purpose of this Investigation were made from a limited number of available data <br /> Points(I a ground water samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points <br /> No other warranty,expressed or implied,is made as to the professional interpretations,opinions and <br /> recommendations contained In this report <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc <br />
