Quarterly Report - Fourth Quarter 2004 <br /> . K& S GAS & GROCERY <br /> 701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California <br />' 1.0. INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Swaran Chouhan,Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE)has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for the property located at 701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California The scope <br /> of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of <br /> this report The site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 On-site structures and <br /> monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site background information is <br /> summarized in Appendix A <br />' At the present time,there are six monitoring well locations at the site, four locations contain single- <br /> level wells (MW-1 through MW-3 and MW-7), and two contain multi-level wells (MW-S[A-D] <br /> I through MW-9[A-D])consisting of four perforated and screened well chambers in a seven-chamber <br /> casing(Continuous Multichannel Tubing CMT) The screened intervals of the wells were set within <br /> discrete depth intervals to monitor ground water for vertical and lateral changes in hydraulic <br />' gradient,contaminant concentrations,and migration directions The discrete depth intervals correlate <br /> to selected hydrostratigraphic or hydrogeologic units, defined on the basis of lithologic and <br /> hydrologic information provided by cone penetrometer testing(CPT)and soil boring advancement, <br /> • as detailed in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report - First Quarter 2004, dated 12 January 2005, <br /> Cone Penetrometer Testing Report -February 2001, dated 19 June 2001 and Cone Penetrometer <br /> Testing Report -November 2001, dated 25 March 2002 <br />' Based on the site assessments listed above, AGE has identified seven hydrogeologic units (HUs) <br /> HU 1 (water table zone),HU3,HU5 and HU7 generally consist of fine-grained soils with occasional, <br /> discontinuous sand lenses, HU2, HU4 and HU6 are sand units The site monitoring wells are <br /> screened in HU 1 (water table zone) and the three sand units (Table 2) <br />' <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' The quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed on 22 December 2004, utilizing <br /> monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 and MW-7 through MW-9 Field work was performed in <br />' accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (CVRWQCB) for the investigation of underground storage tank (UST) sites <br /> r2 1 WELL MONITORING AND EVACUATION <br /> On 22 December 2004, the depth to ground water in monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 and <br /> MW-7 through MW-9 were measured from the top of each well casing to the nearest 0 01-foot <br /> • <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental Inc <br />
