Quarterly Report Third Quarter 2004
K& S GAS & GROCERY
701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California
1.0. INTRODUCTION
At the request of Mr Khaldoon Othman,Advanced Geo Environmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this
quarterly report for the property located at 701 East Charter Way, Stockton, California The scope
of work included the performance of a quarterly ground water monitoring event and preparation of
this report The site and surrounding area are illustrated on Figure 1 On-site structures and
monitoring well locations are illustrated on Figure 2 Additional site background information is
summarized in Appendix A
' At the present time, there are six monitoring well locations at the site, four locations contain single-
level wells (MW-1 through MW-3 and MW-7), and two contain multi-level wells (MW-8[A-D]
through MW-9[A-D])consisting of four perforated and screened well chambers in a seven-chamber
casing (Continuous Multichannel Tubing CMT) Based on field and laboratory analytical data,
screened intervals of the wells were set within discrete depth intervals to monitor vertical and lateral
changes in hydraulic gradient, contaminant concentrations, and migration directions within the
hydraulic units Each hydrostrati graphic or hydrogeologic unit was defined based on lithologic
information provided by cone penetrometer testing(CPT)and soil boring advancement, as detailed
'• in the AGE-prepared Quarterly Report- First Quarter 2004, dated 12 January 2005
Seven hydrogeologic units (HUs) were defined HU1 (water table to 70 feet below surface grade
' bsg), within the screened interval of wells MW-1 through MW-3, MW-7, MW-8A, and MW-9A,
HU2 (70 feet to 85 feet bsg), within the screened interval of wells MW-8B and MW-913, HU3
(85 feet to between 95 feet and 100 feet bsg), which is not screened, HU4 (95 feet to 100 feet to
' approximately 120 feet bsg), within the screened interval of wells MW-8C and MW-9C, HU5
(120 feet to approximately 135 feet bsg),wluch is not screened,HU6(135 feet to 150 feet bsg),within
the screened interval of wells MW-8D and MW-913, and 14U7 (150 feet bsg),which is not screened
' HU6 is currently the deepest hydrogeologic unit monitored
' 2.0. PROCEDURES
The quarterly ground water monitoring event was performed on 23 September 2004, ground water
' monitoring was performed on monitoring wells MW-1 through MW-3 and MW-7 through MW-9
Field work was performed in accordance with guidelines issued by the Central Valley Regional
' Water Quality Control Board(CV RWQCB)for the investigation of underground storage tank(UST)
sites
I
i
' Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
I
