Detection Limits for water analyses using EPA Method 602 shall be .3 ppb for Benzene, Toluene, and Ethyl
Benzene.
2. Cement or bentonite grout will be placed in the annulus of a monitoring well by the use or a tremie pipe if
the total annulus seal distance is greater than 15 feet as stated in the Well Standards for Monitoring Wells in
the San Joaquin County Development Title.
3 . The workplan indicates the procedure by which core samples will be chosen for analysis. Additional core
samples chosen for analysis may be determined in the field based upon conditions encountered during drilling
and hydropunching.
4. The depth to groundwater will be measured from a survey point which will be marked on the top of the
casing. Measurements must be taken from casings that have been surveyed by a California licensed surveyor.
5. Wells and borings shall be abandoned using a cement bentonite slurry placed by tremie from bottom to top
after the casing has been overdrilled as stated in the Well Standards for Monitoring Wells in the San Joaquin
County Development Title.
The workplan appears to address remediation of soil contamination and investigation of the extent of the groundwater plume.
Vapor Well installation should be delayed until the soil analysis from 13-2 and BM-12 are assessed.
For further information please contact Steven Sasson at (209) 468-3459.
Donna Hemn, REHS, Director
Environmental Health DDiiivv`iisiioon I` 'y n' '(^'I'•/
/evoenKassenior IZE YFYS Diane M.
