Charter Way
Stockton, CA
San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Division (PHS/EHD) has recently
reviewed activities at the above mentioned site and has the following comments.
A survey of wells within 2,000 feet of the site should be conducted. This will identify any gradient
influences and possible direction of contaminant plume migration.
The plume of groundwater contamination must be physically defined in order to design a proper
remediation plan. This further definition should be accomplished by installing additional monitoring wells.
Placement of these wells should be based on information obtained from water level measurements and
gradient determination. A workplan for additional monitoring well construction is to be submitted to this
office by March 31, 1993.
In addition please be advised that per "California Code of Regulations", Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16,
Section 2652(d) quarterly reports shall continue to be submitted to PHS/EHD and Central Valley
Regional Water Quality Control Board until the investigation and cleanup of the. site is deemed adequate.
If you have any questions, contact Michael Collins, EHS, of my staff at (209) 468-0338.
JogiKhanna, D., M.P.H.
Health Off r
r
uric A.
