Charter Way <br /> Stockton CA <br /> San Joaquin County Public Health Services , Environmental Health <br /> Division ( PHS / EHD ) has reviewed the " Site Assessment Report " <br /> dated April 30 1992 submitted by California Geophysical Group , <br /> Inc . for the above referenced site . <br /> If soil ( drill cuttings from Well BM- 6 and BM- 4 ) is to be taken <br /> to a landfill , it must fulfill the landfill testing requirements . <br /> Contamination was noted in these borings at 15 feet . After <br /> disposal at the landfill , the receipts for the soil must be <br /> submitted to PHS / EHD . If another method of disposal is planned , <br /> please specify it in writing for our review and approval . <br /> The plume of groundwater contamination should be physically <br /> defined in order to design a proper remediation plan . This <br /> further definition should be accomplished by installing <br /> additional monitoring wells . Placement of these monitoring wells <br /> should be based on information obtained from additional water <br /> level measurements and gradient determination . In addition the <br /> existing monitoring wells should be sampled to confirm the <br /> results from the April 2 , 1992 sampling event . <br /> A survey of wells within 2000 feet of site should be conducted . <br /> This will identify any gradient influences and any direction of <br /> contaminant plume migration . <br /> Pursuant to Section 280 . 67 , Subpart F of 40CFR of the Federal <br /> Register and California Code of Regulations ( CCR ) Title 23 , <br /> Division 3 , Chapter 16 , Article 11 public notification will be <br /> conducted to consider comments on any corrective action planned <br /> for the site . Prior to vapor extraction or any other corrective <br /> action , three copies of the plan must be submitted to PHS / EHD so <br /> that public notification can be conducted . Also an Executive <br /> Summary is to be submitted with the corrective action plan . <br /> Please be advised that per CCR , Title 23 , Division 3 , Chapter 16 , <br /> Section 2652 ( d ) quarterly reports shall be submitted to PHS / EHD <br /> and Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board until the <br /> investigation and cleanup of the site is deemed adequate .
