5 of 8 Page, <br /> Water sampleE. will be obtained as follows <br /> A) First one full well volume of water will be withdrawn from <br /> Lhe well , <br /> B) The paramoLor--. of pH, Conductivity, and Temperature will be <br /> measured, <br /> C) A 9-nd and 3rd well voDime of water wi 11 be withdrawn and the <br /> parameters remeasured, if the results vary by more than 109 then <br /> :step C i 1 repeated, <br /> D) The well as allowed to recover to 80% of its original volume <br /> or 2 hours have passed then a sample will be withdrawn and <br /> planed in its appropriate container <br /> Purged water will be placed in a drum sealed and left at the <br /> site unta 1 itL, hazardous condition is assessed <br /> Each well location will be surveyed to within 0. 5 Ft <br /> horizontally and to within 0 01 FL vertically The elevation <br /> to the top of the casing in each well will be measured with a <br /> spirit level and surveyors rod The leveling will take place at <br /> least 24 hours after the casing seal and traffic box have been <br /> et <br /> Using a decontaminatied bailer a water samples will be taken <br /> from the water at or near the surfaoe of the water table, unless <br /> otherwise indicated Water will be placed within the prescribed <br /> container for the tests required The containers will be filled • <br /> so that zero headsp€ace is present in the sealed vial one drop of <br /> concentrated HCL will be added, then they will be placed in a <br /> cooler containing ace until delivered to the lab Samples must <br /> be analyzed within 14 days of sampling Trap blanks will <br /> accompany all sample containers A Chain of Custody will be <br /> filled out by the sampler, detection limits must be supplied by <br /> the laboratory <br /> Well or Loring Abandonments <br /> All wells and borings will be destroyed once no longer needed <br /> The following step: will be followed <br /> 1 Check the well to see if the hole is open to its Original <br /> drilled depth, if not clean out the hole. <br /> 2 The upper 20 feet of the well will be sealed with bentonite <br /> grout, or neat cement with 5% bentonite grout The lower <br /> portion of the well can be filled with clean grout or sand <br /> whichever is more convenient. <br /> Impervious seals w <br /> 3 Tnp all be placed between aquifers, a depth of <br /> 20 feet- for eaoh seal if possible. <br /> 4.
