Ile This <br /> quarter we completed the testing for Oxygenates in the wells The results are shown <br /> on Table 3B The wells which have MtBE in their water are BM-1, BM-3 and BM-5, The <br /> test also tests for Tert-butanol (TBA) and it was found in well BM-1, BM-3, BM-5, BM-6, <br /> BM-7, BM-8 and BM-9 The well with the highest amount of TBA is well BM-3 This well <br /> had contamination in April and July of 1995 but very little in the testing during this quarter <br /> The well is located west of the original tank pit and the reason for the presence of this <br /> chemical is unknown <br /> Dissolved oxygen levels were recorded this quarter at this site The levels were <br /> measured with a calibrated YSI model 51 B meter by placing the sensor 5 feet below the <br /> surface of the water table before any bailing or other well disturbance occurred The <br /> measured levels are shown on Table 3A <br /> The oxygen levels indicate the OCR is working since all of the wells where it is placed <br /> I have high amounts of dissolved oxygen <br /> Attached is a Hazardous Waste manifest shoring that 55 gallons of purged water was <br /> removed from this site The purged water was from the testing last quarter <br /> VAPOR EXTRACTION SYSTEM <br /> I The site has been under remediation since July 1997 The weekly readings of the <br /> entenng vapor stream are listed on Table 5 and shown on Figure 2 The vapor stream is <br /> . slowly falling The extraction system was shut down from January 19 to February 4, 1998 <br /> I due to equipment failure At present the system is operating properly There was a rise in <br /> the vapor level on February 4, 1998, this was due to the shutdown <br /> Conclusions <br /> We will continue to monitor this site The next monitoring event will take place in April <br /> I 1998 <br /> Yours truly, <br /> N C <br /> John Cussen � y <br /> RG #6506 Nm 0506 <br /> Incl 6 Tables <br /> 2 Figures OF CA <br /> I 2 Laboratory Reports and Chain of Custody's <br /> 11 Sample Sheets <br /> Cc Mr Roger Liston, Darpetro, Inc <br /> Mr G L Boggs, RWQCB <br /> I <br /> i� <br /> i <br /> i <br />
