Box 2009
Stockton, Ca 95307 l
tRE: Quarterly and Activity Report April May, 19
Darpetro Service Station
749 E. Charter Way
Stockton, Ca.
Site # 1060
IThe site was sampled on April 23 , 1996 and the water samples were
sent to Sherwood Labs of Hilmar, California. The water table
measurements , sampling parameters and chain of custody are
attached.
On April 29 and 30 , 1996 , two hydropunch borings were drilled
using a Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) rig. This work was
described in the March 15, 1995 work plan and was performed in
the Pep Boys parking lot at 845 E. Charter Way, Stockton, CA.
The water table was located at 41 feet, the same elevation as the
quarterly monitoring which took place a week earlier. The water
I samples were obtained by placing a decontaminated hydropunch
sampler into the water table 5 feet and allowing the sampler to
fill with water. Once water was present a bailer was used to
removed the water from the sampler. Water was placed in 40 ml
vials and sent to Sherwood Labs as stated above. A water blank
sample was taken from clean water placed into the bailer dust
prior to taking the first groundwater sample.
ITable I lists the history of the water analyses taken at the site
since January 26 , 1990 . Table II is the history of the water table
measurements, and Table III list the history of hydraulic
I gradients. Attached is one water table elevation plot showing
the approximate groundwater gradient.
The quarterly water samples were obtained by using a pre--cleaned
bailer. This was performed after the measured field parameters
had stabilized during the purging with a pump. See protocols.
Water samples were placed in appropriate glass containers with
teflon-lined lids.
Wells MW-1 , 2 and 3 were measured for depth of water only. Mr.
Steve Sasson, the county regulator, authorized us to not sample
these wells, since they are located near other wells and no
additional information would be obtained.
Page 1
1
