i
Since CGG has contracted with Del-Tech to do the quarterly monitoring at this site we are
' °7 submitting the SOP's of Del-Tech to be reviewed by the EHD San Joaquin County CGG
feels that the SOP's of Del-Tech meet the requirements of sampling monitoring wells By
June 21,2004 we will submit an up dated copy of our QA/QC Del-Tech at our request will
Ibe using the Dedicated Waterra Pump to purge the wells
It is the policy of CGG to notify the county at least 48 hours prior to a quarterly sampling, if
this was not done for the January 2004 monitoring event, we apologize
As president of California Geophysical Group, Inc , I have never instructed any technician
that the equipment did not need to be decontaminated for sampling any well
The next quarterly monitoring event will take place in July 2004, all monitoring wells on
and off site will be sampled All laboratory samples will be tested for TPH-G, BTEX, by
' method EPA 602, Oxygenates, 1-2 DCA and EDB by method EPA 8260 Quarterly
sampling of all wells and laboratory tests will continue until otherwise directed by the EHD,
San Joaquin County We will be on site to oversee this next monitoring event
' We are now using MW instead of BM for the monitoring well labels The numbers for the
wells will remain the same You will notice in this Quarterly Report that we have
implemented this change
' The groundwater in wells MWA, MW-5, MW-6, MW-7, MW-8, and MW-9 were above
California Drinking Water Standards for benzene The benzene plume appears to be
' flowing around this site from the two contaminated sites, west of this site The wells which
had TPH are MWA, MW-2, MW-5 MW-6, MW-7, MW-8 and MW-9 All of the figures
indicate that water is entering this site from a source to the east of this site This can be
seen by looking at the contouring around well MWA where water is definitely entering the
site from Charter Way See Figures 2 and 3
The contamination from this site is TPH and chemicals related to gasoline MtBE was
' recorded in wells MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-7, MW-8, MW-9 and MWA 1 This anomaly
is the same as reported for Benzene and TPH
Monitoring well MW-8 was sampled this quarter with a bailer and pump, at the request of
the EHD regulator
Dissolved oxygen levels were recorded this quarter at this site The levels were
' measured with a calibrated YSI model 51 B meter by placing the sensor 5 feet below the
surface of the water table after the bailing of the wells The measured levels are shown
' on Table 3A and Figure 5
Conclusions
' We will continue to monitor this site The next monitoring event will take place in July
2004
' Attached please find the Hazardous Waste Manifest showing the purged ground water
• has been removed properly
