Charter Way
Stockton, CA
' Project No 724 2
June 4, 1999
1
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the Winter Quarter 1998/99 round of groundwater monitoring and
' testing that took place on January 25, 1999 The test results show that detectable
concentrations of the aromatic hydrocarbon compounds (BTEX) and gasoline range
petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH-G) are present in the three monitoring wells on site
' Concentrations in MW-1 remained consistent with those observed during the last monitoring
event Concentrations in MW-2 and MW-3 roughly doubled from the last monitoring event
' MTBE was detected in MW-2 This is the first event where a fuel oxygenate was detected,
however it was detected by method 602 which is prone to false positives The March and
' July 1998 events were tested by method 8260 and none of the five oxygenate compounds
were detected
The groundwater level dropped approximately 0 45 feet since the July 1998 monitoring
event Groundwater gradient calculations show that groundwater flow is N89°E at 0 0034
ft/ft
II
