S
case. This data supports the earlier belief that the Gaso
station diagonally across the street is the mayor source of
contamination in the groundwater at this location
During the three months between the March & June measurements,
the water table had risen almost 2 5 feet, and slightly over 4
feet since October 1992 The measurement taken in October, 1993 ,
shows a drop of a little over 1 foot since June Between Octo-
ber, 1993 & February, 1994, the water table has lowered an addi-
tional 65 of a foot. Although the regional gradient does not
appear to have changed to any extent, the lowering of the water
table due to those withdrawals may have caused sufficient pres-
sure differential in an easterly direction to move the contami-
nation towards MW #2
In summary, the data recorded to date continues to indicate
another source of contamination located to the north of this
location; such a site has been identified beneath the Gaso Exxon
property immediately to the north and west On February 7 , 1994,
a meeting was held at the California Regional Water Quality Con-
trol Board offices in Sacramento to discuss the problem Attend-
ees included staff members of the Regional Board & San Joaquin
County EHD, and owners & consultants of the two sites A copy of
correspondence from the San Joaquin County EHD, included with
this report, summarizes the results of that meeting - this site
will continue to be monitored quarterly until additional work is
perfdrmed to delineate the vertical & horizontal extent of the
plume originating at 749 E Charter Way
Sinc1Prank
Wm. er & Associates
cc orita D Gf0
CVRWQCB, Beth Thayer
WUAAM 1 NUtV ER
NO 860
OFC
t
2
