G¢ological7echnecslKc Page 6 <br /> Groundwater Monitoring Report <br /> Project No 724 2 <br /> November 17,2003 <br /> ' the plume Dissolved oxygen values corroborate with the ORP values measured in these <br /> wells <br /> ' 3 0 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS <br /> The contamination plume, as observed from these wells, is stable and does not appear to be <br /> sourcing a significant off site plume In GTI's opinion, the levels of contatnmation present <br /> do not warrant an engineered clean up <br /> In their correspondence dated April 24, 2002, the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department (SJC/EHD) directed the submittal of a work plan for additional lateral <br /> plume definition GTI prepared this work plan on June 27, 2002 On September 3, 2002, <br /> Mr Nuel Henderson of SJC/EHD issued a letter requesting modifications to the work plan <br /> On September 25, 2002, GTT submitted a letter modifying the June 27, 2002 work plan <br /> The modifications were approved by SJC/EHD and the work is scheduled for <br /> ' implementation in December 2003 The goal of the revised plan is to target certain sand <br /> hotizons for discrete screen monitoring and determine if preferred paths of migration may <br /> have allowed elevated concentrations to be missed by the current well spacing <br /> 40 LIMITATIONS <br /> This re oit was prepared in accordance with the generally ac,ce ted standard of care and <br /> ' practice in effect at the time Set vices were rendered It should be recognized that definition <br /> and evaluation of environmental conditions is an inexact science and that the state or <br /> practice of environmental geology/hydrology is changing and evolving and that standards <br />' existing at the present time may change as knowledge increases and the state of the practice <br /> continues to improve Further, that differing subsurface soil characteristics can be <br /> experienced within a small distance and therefore cannot be known in an absolute sense <br />' All conclusions and recommendations are based on the available data and information. <br /> The tasks proposed and completed during this project were reviewed and approved by the <br />' local regulatory agency for compliance with the law No warranty, expressed or implied, is <br /> made <br />
