G¢ological7echnecslKc Page 6 Groundwater Monitoring Report Project No 724 2 November 17,2003 ' the plume Dissolved oxygen values corroborate with the ORP values measured in these wells ' 3 0 CONCLUSIONS & RECOMMENDATIONS The contamination plume, as observed from these wells, is stable and does not appear to be sourcing a significant off site plume In GTI's opinion, the levels of contatnmation present do not warrant an engineered clean up In their correspondence dated April 24, 2002, the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJC/EHD) directed the submittal of a work plan for additional lateral plume definition GTI prepared this work plan on June 27, 2002 On September 3, 2002, Mr Nuel Henderson of SJC/EHD issued a letter requesting modifications to the work plan On September 25, 2002, GTT submitted a letter modifying the June 27, 2002 work plan The modifications were approved by SJC/EHD and the work is scheduled for ' implementation in December 2003 The goal of the revised plan is to target certain sand hotizons for discrete screen monitoring and determine if preferred paths of migration may have allowed elevated concentrations to be missed by the current well spacing 40 LIMITATIONS This re oit was prepared in accordance with the generally ac,ce ted standard of care and ' practice in effect at the time Set vices were rendered It should be recognized that definition and evaluation of environmental conditions is an inexact science and that the state or practice of environmental geology/hydrology is changing and evolving and that standards ' existing at the present time may change as knowledge increases and the state of the practice continues to improve Further, that differing subsurface soil characteristics can be experienced within a small distance and therefore cannot be known in an absolute sense ' All conclusions and recommendations are based on the available data and information.
