' GeulagccalTeclucccslru Page 14 <br /> Site Conceptual Model Report <br /> Project No 724 2 <br /> May 2,2006 <br /> ' location (Map #5, outside the 2000' radius) The gas service station at the NE corner of S <br /> Stanislaus and E Charter Way has monitoring well traffic boxes on the property (Map#6) <br /> ' It is not known if the wells that have been abandoned were properly destroyed in accordance <br /> with applicable standards or if more wells are similarly disconnected and have not been <br /> identified A designation for the beneficial use of groundwater in the vicinity of the Morita <br /> ' Property facility as domestic supply is appropriate based on the results of the receptor survey <br /> outlined above <br /> ' 3.0 POTENTIAL OFF-SITE SOURCES OF GASOLINE CONTANIINATION <br /> GTI has identified potential off site sources of contamination from first hand experience <br /> Three automotive fueling facilities with USTs and therefore potential sources of gasoline <br /> contamination are directly to the west of the site along the north side of Charter Way 701 E <br /> Charter Way (K & S Gas & Grocery) [701 site], 709 E Charter Way (street number not <br /> definitive, name unknown), and 749 E Charter Way [GASCO or Darpetro site] GTI staff <br /> attempted to review the SJC PHS/EHD UST files for the latter two sites but access was <br /> denied for the 709 E Charter Way site (copy of SJC PHS/EHD denial letter in Appendix A) <br /> ' The available files for the 749 E Charter Way site were reviewed and GTI confirmed that a <br /> gasoline release from an UST has occurred at this facility <br /> A second source of information for the 701 and 749 sites is the California State Geotracker <br /> database for UST release sites (GTI unable to identify the 709 site on database) GTI <br /> accessed the web site via the internet and downloaded/noted relevant data for reference The <br /> ' database included groundwater analytical information from the September 2005 groundwater <br /> monitoring event for the 701 site This information shows that the most heavily impacted <br /> well, MW-3, contained 95,000 ug/l TPH-G for the September 2005 event This site is one <br /> ' block or approximately 500 feet west of the Morita Brothers property <br /> The data from the closest site suggests that the gasoline release from the GASCO 749 E <br /> Charter Way property has directly impacted the Morita Brothers site and a co-mingled plume <br /> is present This site is on the opposite (northwest) corner from the Morita Brothers property <br /> that is located on the southeast corner of the intersection of E Charter Way and Grant Street <br /> GTT downloaded GeoTracker's latest report for the site- January 31, 2006 "Quarterly Report <br /> January 2006" prepared by California Geophysical Group, Inc (CGG)- and included it in this <br /> SCM as Appendix G The report contains laboratory analytical data for 15 monitoring wells <br /> ' associated with the site GTI has prepared a diagram incorporating the approximate locations <br /> of the GASCO site wells and the Morita Brothers wells into one snap Figure 15 shows the <br /> approximate locations of the GASCO site wells with the relevant TPH-G data for the January <br /> 16, 2006 monitoring event next to the wells The map also includes groundwater data from a <br /> single CPT point, B-4, advanced on the southeast corner of the GASCO site The Morita <br /> intermediate aquifer levels wells and their corresponding TPH-G data for the February 24, <br /> ' 2006 monitoring event are included as well <br />
