Charter Way
' Stockton, CA
Protect No 724 2
March 7, 2002
• EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
' This report summarizes the 4` Quarter 2001 round of groundwater monitoring and testing
that took place on December 6, 2001 This is the fifth monitoring event since five new
monitoring wells were installed on November 20-22, 2000 The laboratory analyses
indicate that severe of the ten monitoring wells on this site continue to be impacted by
gasoline range petroleum hydrocarbons The groundwater contamination plume appears to
have migrated off site as evident from detection in well MW-106 The contamination is
' present in well MW-106 at a depth of approximately 25 feet below the water table
The groundwater level has decreased approximately 0 9 feet since the September 2001
monitoring event The average groundwater elevation at the site was —19 60 feet mean sea
level (msl) and this corresponds to approximately 35 feet below grade surface (bgs)
Groundwater gradient calculations show that groundwater flow was S48°E at 0 0019 ft/ft for
the December 6, 2001 event
' On December 20, 2001, the wells were re-surveyed in accordance with the Geotracker
requirements by Thompson-Hysell Engineering of Modesto, CA The groundwater levels in
the wells were also sounded on this date For this second December 2001 event, the average
' groundwater elevation at the site was —19 57 feet mean sea level (msl) and the groundwater
flow was S69°E at 0 0114 ft/ft
