Charter Way <br /> Stockton, CA <br /> Project No 724 2 <br /> December 19, 2000 <br /> 1 <br />' 1.0 INTRODUCTION <br /> This report summarizes the additional soil and groundwater investigative work conducted <br /> on November 20 — 22, 2000 Five soil borings were drilled at the site and converted into <br /> groundwater monitoring wells Ten soil samples obtained from the well borings were non- <br /> detect for all analytes <br />' On December 1, 2000, a licensed surveyor surveyed the site into a known benchmark <br /> elevation <br />' 2.0 SCOPE OF INVESTIGATION <br /> 2.1 Soil Boring Installation <br /> In an effort to define the lateral and vertical extent of gasoline range petroleum <br /> hydrocarbons, five (5) soil borings were drilled to depths of 40 — 90 feet below ground <br />' surface (bgs) The boreholes were drilled with an 8-inch outside diameter, continuous <br /> flight, hollow-stem auger owned and operated by V&W Drilling (C57# 720904) from Rio <br /> Vista, California <br />' Monitoring well permits were secured from the San Joaquin County Public Health <br /> Services/Environmental Health Department (SJC PHS/EHD) The local regulatory agency <br /> was notified 48 hours prior to commencing work <br /> ' Soil cuttings and drilling decontamination water were placed in DOT-17 approved 55 gallon <br /> drums and retained at the site until their disposal can be arranged <br /> 2.1.1 Soil Samphng Procedure <br /> Soil samples were collected for geological and laboratory evaluation at five-foot intervals <br /> from ground surface to total depth in the 40-foot borings for MW-6 and MW-7 In the deep <br />
